UNDERGRAD THESIS: ARCHITECTURE AS A STIMULUS FOR COMMUNITY GROWTH AND EECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The project Goal is to improve the quality of life within the Hyperlocals by increasing the long term contribution of agriculture and tourism to the economy resulting in increased foreign exchange savings/earnings, employment creation, generation of supplemented farm incomes and the reduction in some of the social ills associated with the rural areas.
Mulshi will certainly establish economic sustainability, environmental sustainability, social sustainability and cultural sustainability as a tourism. If tourism is well planned, it will help raise revenue and definitely help create employment opportunities for local’s youth, which will decrease their migration to nearby cities
The purpose of the project is to promote increased linkages between tourism and agriculture that will generate economic investment opportunities and build resilience in rural communities and enhance the sustainable development of both the tourism and agriculture industries.
